FAQs
-
Each registration includes a T-shirt, water bottle, and goodie bag. It also includes unlimited access to themed rest stops and a catered lunch from Mot’s BBQ after the ride.
-
While many people inaccurately refer to the event as a race, the Best Dam Ride is not a race. It is an organized group ride that allows cyclists to come together and enjoy a great ride while also supporting three great local charities. The pace of the ride is as easy or competitive as you want it to be.
-
Flat tire? Broken chain? No problem. There will be a support vehicle with mechanics on call throughout the ride. Flag a Dam Ride vehicle, patrol officer, or ask another rider to tell us your location at the next rest stop. If we can fix it for you on the spot, we will. Otherwise, we will take you and your bicycle back to your vehicle at the dam.
-
We know cell coverage is spotty in places throughout the ride. Every support vehicle and rest stop is staffed with a ham radio operator who can quickly contact another operator.
There are also multiple vehicles (including motorcycles) constantly in motion on each route to ensure riders are safe.
If you need assistance on the ride, flag down a vehicle or ask another rider to alert us to your situation at the next rest stop.
-
If you want to stop riding for any reason, flag a support vehicle or let us know you want to go back to the dam at the next rest stop.
A support vehicle will take you and your bike back to the dam.
Even if you don't finish the ride, we welcome you to stay for lunch and mingle with other riders as they get back to the dam.

“We work to provide comfort and hope for parents who experience stillbirth and infant loss with care packages that include a special therapeutic tool called a Comfort Cub. Support from the Best Dam Ride will allow us to expand and partner with local hospitals to get a Comfort Cub into every bereaved mother’s arms.”
